MISSION

How to create the best eco-friendly outdoor furniture?

Our expertise is built on a keen understanding of your needs and a deep respect for nature. Each product is designed to capture the essentials, without excess, through the careful selection of the finest materials and the streamlined design of our models. This approach enables us to create furniture that combines pure aesthetics, durability, and resource efficiency to minimise our environmental footprint. To offer you high-quality products, we ensure that each piece forms a connection between the ingenuity of nature and the best of human creativity.

Materials selected to withstand the test of time

At Belveo, we carefully choose each material, as they are at the heart of our product quality. We select the finest materials for their aesthetics, resistance to the elements, and environmental impact. By reducing excess, we create streamlined structures that combine elegance with resource respect. As pioneers in our field, we challenge conventional practices, such as using high-quality acrylic canopies, once reserved for professionals, to ensure easy maintenance and optimal durability. This expertise allows us to offer outdoor furniture that is both beautiful and functional, designed to last and seamlessly integrate into your home.

ROBINIA

Robinia is the only European wood that is naturally rot-resistant and weatherproof, without the need for treatment. It offers the benefits of exotic woods (such as teak) but with a significantly lower environmental impact. This wood grows in forests in Slovenia, where our sawmill is located. In addition to being resistant to impacts and insects, its appearance improves over time, developing a silvery-grey patina. Its luminosity helps create a rejuvenating atmosphere!

Innovative foam

Instead of absorbing water, the foam in our cushions is designed to allow rain to pass through. If the fabric happens to let in a little water, the foam dries quickly, and the product remains undamaged. Nothing will disrupt the tranquility of your outdoor moments.

Ensuring longevity

At Belveo, sustainability is a core value that begins at the design stage of our products. We aim to provide furniture built to withstand the elements and stand the test of time. To extend the lifespan of your products, we’ve made repairability a priority. For example, our new parts are backward-compatible with older models.

In addition, we provide access to a stock of spare parts, available either for free or at a reduced cost, depending on the warranty. To make maintenance and repairs easier, we also offer step-by-step video tutorials.

Finally, as part of our commitment to reducing our environmental impact, we are incorporating 100% recycled materials. This is why, at Belveo, sustainability is not just an ideal—it’s reflected in concrete actions for both you and the environment.

RECYCLED MATERIALS

The majority of our canopies and weights are made from recycled materials. Our furniture is manufactured in the European Union, where the energy used is less polluting.

OUR RESEARCH TOPICS

Recycled materials

Using recycled materials significantly reduces the environmental footprint of our products. Upcycling, the practice of using existing materials without recycling them, to create new items, has an even lower impact.

La Vie Est Belt, a pioneer in this field within fashion, inspires us. How can we upcycle waste to produce outdoor furniture on a large scale?

Business model

We are seeking a model that reflects our interdependence with living systems. Some people and projects that inspire us on this topic include:

The “Nouveau Souffle” podcast by Lumia, which explores economic models and regenerative businesses.
Olivier Hamant, who delves into the concept of resilience and the inspiration we can draw from observing nature.
