BLACK LOCUST WOOD (ROBINIA)

STRENGTH & ROBUSTNESS

Robinia (Black Locust) is naturally resistant to freshwater, weathering, and insects, requiring no chemical treatment whatsoever. This classification is rare for European timber, positioning it as an eco-friendly alternative to tropical hardwoods like Teak or Ipe. With a density of approximately 750kg/m³, it is a true hardwood, capable of withstanding impacts and preventing warping. It offers excellent flexural strength without being brittle, ensuring both sturdiness and longevity. FSC-PEFC certified traceability: our Robinia is sourced from sustainably managed Slovenian forests.

EASY MAINTENANCE

Our wood is treated solely with a natural oil that deeply nourishes the material. Unlike commonly used varnishes on outdoor furniture, this non-filming oil will not crack or peel over time. Contrary to Acacia, Robinia requires no specific treatment for outdoor use and offers superior durability. Often referred to as "European Teak", it combines technical performance, durability, and environmental responsibility.

ALUMINIUM

STRENGTH & LIGHTNESS

We use 5-series aluminium, renowned for its robustness and exceptional performance against corrosion. This alloy is ideal for prolonged outdoor use, even in humid or coastal environments. Our 4mm sheets provide the perfect balance between lightness and mechanical strength. To make the aluminium even harder and more resilient, it is cold-rolled (compressed for higher density) before being laser-cut and curved. Compared to steel, aluminium has the advantage of being much lighter, making it effortless to move and rearrange.

DURABILITY

Advanced Powder Coating: The textured matt finish provides a long-lasting aesthetic that is scratch-resistant and easy to clean. It is kiln-fired at high temperatures to harden the finish. Even a deep scratch will not expose the aluminium to rust, ensuring "all-weather" durability.

INNOVATIVE FOAM

DESIGNED FOR THE OUTDOORS

Our cushions are crafted from specialist outdoor foams. Unlike conventional foams, they do not hold water like a sponge but allow it to drain straight through; these are known as "open-cell foams". Our foam acts like a mesh, letting water pass through without retaining moisture.

LONG-LASTING COMFORT

Our foams are also "HR" (High Resilience): they retain their shape much better over the years than standard foams, allowing you to enjoy "day-one" comfort throughout the product's lifespan. They utilise multi-layer technology: the first layer is soft and enveloping, offering a plush feel inspired by memory foam. The second, denser layer provides optimal support and ergonomic stability, suited to all body types. The result: a "cocoon" feel that maintains excellent posture for ultimate comfort during long afternoons in the garden.

HIGH-DENSITY OLEFIN

COLOUR THAT LASTS

300g/m² Olefin fabric, including 50% recycled fibres. This textile is renowned for its resistance to UV rays, moisture, and chemical agents. It comes with a 5-year anti-fade guarantee, even with prolonged exposure to the sun. It is machine washable and bleach-cleanable for effortless maintenance, even against the toughest stains.

WATER-REPELLENT FABRIC

The fabric is water-repellent thanks to a treatment that prevents water from penetrating the fibres, allowing for instant drying after a rain shower. PFAS-free ("forever chemicals") and mould-resistant: the water-repellent treatment isolates the fibre from the elements, making it inert and immune to mould or mildew.
