Delivery and shipping costs

💸 How much will I pay for the delivery ?

The shipping costs mentioned on our website are a contribution to the shipping costs that we pay for each of our orders. Indeed, our products being both heavy and voluminous, the shipping costs are often very high. This is why the more products you add to your basket (and therefore the more weight you add), the more the shipping costs increase. 🚚

We understand that this cost may seem high. However, we are unable to offer postage as we simply do not have the same competitive pricing advantages as other retailers.

📆 How long does it take to be delivered ?

We announce a delivery time of between 3 and 5 working days (this is excluding pre orders). This means that you can sometimes be delivered earlier and sometimes a bit later, depending on the activity peaks.

You can change your allotted day or timeslot and request the package to arrive at the bottom of your building or house.

Once you have placed an order on our website, your order will go directly to our warehouse to be packaged for delivery.

Normally, once you make an order on our website it will be dispatched the next day !

We estimate a delivery time of between 3 and 5  working days, taking into account unexpected circumstances that may arise ( strikes, public holiday or road works etc.). 📦

For orders containing pre-ordered items, we will by default deliver once all items are in stock. If you wish to receive products that are in stock earlier, it is possible! Send us an e-mail to contact@belveo.com.

📥 How do I track and receive my order ?

1. We prepare your order

As soon as we receive your order, we will start the preparation process with our logistics partner. You will then receive an email indicating that your order is being prepared. If one of the items in your order is a pre-order, you can send us an email on contact@belveo.com indicating "Pre-order" in the subject. Our team will then be able to help you organise your delivery arrangements (in 1 or 2 instalments)

2. Your order is on its way

Once ready, your order will be collected by a carrier qualified to transport your product: Tuffnells, XDP or Parcelforce. You will then receive a second email to confirm that your order has been shipped and is being delivered. In this email you will find the link to track your order. Please note that the delivery is made at the door of your building/house.

3. You receive your order

Finally, you will receive a final delivery confirmation email. In this e-mail you will have the possibility to inform us of any problems with your delivery.

⚠️ If a parcel arrives damaged, here are the steps to follow:

After delivery, please contact us at contact@belveo.com ! Inform us of the situation by providing as much information as possible (photos, product references, problems faced, missing products etc...). We will then come back to you as soon as possible to help you.

4. You can cancel your purchase

Remember that you have 30 days to withdraw from your purchase.

🏢 Can I pick up my order in the warehouse ?

Are you from the Midlands and you would like to pick up your order directly from our warehouse to avoid shipping costs ? I understand, but unfortunately this is not possible, please forgive us. 😔

This is not an option within our partner warehouse which has several restrictions (location not adapted to receive customers, strict sanitary measures due to Covid-19, ...). Furthermore, giving this delivery option would force our warehouse to open its doors for customers on several occasions. All this does not allow us to offer you this possibility.

In any case, don't worry: your order will be quickly processed and shipped! 😉

Refunds, returns and claims

📦 How do I return one or more items ?

You have placed an order but the parasol you have chosen is too big for your terrace, or the colour does not match your outdoor area? No problem!
In order to process your return, you need to contact our team by email: contact@belveo.com

1. Packing your product

Have your Belveo products been unpacked? Do you still have the original box?

Incomplete, spoiled or damaged items will not be accepted and will be automatically refused upon receipt of the return. If you no longer have the packaging or if it is not in its original condition, you can return your items in a neutral box. However, you will be charged a restocking fee (30% of the product amount maximum).

2. Returning your package

There are two options for returning your package:

📦 You can schedule a return shipment yourself with the service provider of your choice. In this case, you will pay the carrier directly for the return of your product. Our warehouse address is: Noose Ln, Willenhall WV13 3AP, United Kingdom

📤 We can arrange a collection from your home, for a return to our warehouse. In this case, do you have any preferences for the carrier's passage? If so, please inform us directly by email. In this case, the return shipping costs will be deducted from your refund. Once we have received the products you are returning, we will be able to refund your order/product(s).

💳 What are the conditions and deadlines for refunds ?

We will proceed with your refund after our team has checked the products. It takes about 10 days from the receipt of your product(s) in our warehouse.

The refund will be made either :

💸 By bank transfer - if you have used this payment method

💳 By re-credit to the card used for payment.

Still haven't received your refund despite the 10 days? Don't worry, we may be experiencing a little delay in the returns management and therefore your package is still in the sorting phase. If not, don't hesitate to contact our team at contact@belveo.com !

😱 My order arrived damaged. What should I do ?

😫 If your parcel arrived damaged, it may have been affected during transport. No problem!

First of all, if the box is damaged, we strongly recommend that you take pictures before opening it. Don’t be afraid to open it after you have taken a picture. 📸 The case is most often that the boxes are damaged during transportation but in reality the products are fine.

Check that everything works. If by any chance a part is broken, do not hesitate to take a picture and to contact us by email at contact@belveo.com

This way, our after-sales team can solve the problem as quickly as possible and if necessary send you a spare part.

Our products

🌎 Where our products are manufactured ?

Our products are made in China. 🇨🇳

Our ultimate goal is to reduce the environmental impact associated with the use of parasols.

Many strategies and approaches are possible to achieve this.

Our choice is to focus on the design and distribution of parasols. We want our products to last as long as possible. At present, if we manufacture our products in France, the price would double what it is now which would only encourage the purchase of classic parasols. These classic parasols are not durable and are thrown away more often. We feel our impact would be diminished so it is because of this that we produce our parasols abroad.

Our strategy is not yet perfect but we are striving for improvement. That is why, in 2022, we have recruited someone in charge of working with a network of partners in France and Europe to manufacture locally in a near future. 🌎

We hope that we will be able to achieve this without doubling the price of our products. This is a real challenge. We may begin with offering our customers two options: products made in China, and  others made in France or in Europe, with different prices.

⭐️ What are the Belveo guarantees ?

All our products are guaranteed for 2 years. Except for our acrylic canvases which are guaranteed for 5 years. ⛱

During this period, in case of a problem, you just have to contact us (by email, by phone, via the chat of our website, Facebook....) and give us as much information as possible (product concerned, order number, details of the problem encountered,...).

All this information will allow us to find the best solution for you (sending spare parts for example).

We will also ask you to send us a picture of the damaged or defective product so we can be sure of the spare part that needs to be sent. 📸

Please be aware that we take care to provide durable products and make every effort to provide you with complete satisfaction in case of a customer service request.

If you have any further questions about our guarantees, please do not hesitate to contact us at contact@belveo.com. Our team will be happy to answer you!

Our parasols

🧵 What materials are used ?

We use different materials for different models. To help you, we have prepared technical descriptions for each product. They are available on each product page.

🔄 Are the canopies of the parasols interchangeable ?

Yes, all our parasol canopies can be changed easily. 🎉

Would you like to change the colour or simply give your parasol a "new look" after 3 or 4 seasons? Don't wait any longer!

Belveo is a brand that aims to offer products that are as durable as possible. That's why we are the only ones to offer interchangeable canopies for our Belveo parasols!

This means that you don't have to change the structure of your parasol over time. And of course, it allows you to change the colours as you wish, giving you a new experience!

📏 What is the dimension of the Belveo parasol pole ?

The diameter of the parasol poles varies according to the model.

For the BELVEO® range of cantilever parasols, the poles are rectangular and slightly curved, with dimensions of 53 x 77 mm.

💦 What is the difference between a waterproof and a water-repellent product ?

Our products are not waterproof, they are actually water-repellent.
💧

This means that our products can withstand temporary light rain, but in case of heavy rain, it is essential to protect our products under protective covers, or take them inside in a dry place.🌦

Windproof system

🌪 What is the wind resistance of my Belveo parasol ?

In real-life tests, winds of up to 90km/h have been measured with the parasol in the horizontal position and it does not break. As a general recommendation, we would like to appeal to our customers' common sense and recommend not to use our Belveo parasols when the local weather service announces winds of more than 80 km/h. 💨

🌧 When to close my Belveo parasol ?

It is necessary to close your BELVEO® parasol:

1. When the base becomes unstable due to the wind on the parasol.

2. When the parasol canopy remains mostly flying over the ribs.

3. In any case, do not use the BELVEO® parasol without adequate weighting and when the weather service announces local winds of more than 80 km/h.

❗️Important

In strong winds, it is recommended to slightly loosen the BELVEO® canopy by turning the parasol crank.

If the canopy remains flying over the parasol even though the wind has dropped, the canopy is too stretched and should be slightly loosened by turning the parasol crank.

💨 How is the resistance of Belveo parasols ensured ?

BELVEO® parasols are first tested during the design phase. The samples manufactured by our partner are tested according to precise specifications and must withstand predefined forces and loads. All parts of the structure are tested: the pole, the ribs, the cranks, etc. If any of the parts do not meet the requirements of the specifications, the material used is replaced by a stronger material, or the thickness of the material used is increased. 📋

The products are then tested at the end of production, according to the same specifications. Any defective parts are removed and the batch is only accepted if it meets the quality standards. Finally, BELVEO® parasols are tested under real-life conditions: in high winds or even facing the strong winds created by helicopter blades. 🚁

We do not test the sunshades in wind tunnels as we believe that this would be reductive: the wind in real conditions is never linear, and conventional wind tunnels do not allow us to generate the diversity of wind gusts that only nature can offer us!

Our parasol bases

🪨 Which slabs and bases for my BELVEO parasol ?

Our pictures usually show the parasol with its base to better project it in its environment but the base is not included with the parasol. It must therefore be purchased separately. You can go for a set of 4 slabs if you want the standard price weighting system.
If you want to move your parasol easily on your terrace, you can use a wheeled base.

❓What should I use to weight the slabs of my parasol ?

You can weight down your parasol's slabs with water or sand. Note, however, that sand is heavier than water - this may be important especially if you want to move your parasol/tiles regularly. 💦

The more weight the parasol has, the more stable it will be against the wind. We therefore advise weighting with sand if possible.

💨 If you are in a very windy area: if possible, we advise you to use our roller feet, as these feet are heavier once weighted than our slabs.

Our canopies

🧶 What is the difference between acrylic and polyester canopy ?

Polyester is the standard fabric used for the canopies of our parasols. It is guaranteed for 2 years and is treated with anti-UV UPF 50+. It is particularly sensitive to fading, especially on dark colours.

We also have acrylic fabric that offers more freshness due to its micro-perforation, which allows for air to pass through better. Our acrylic sheets are manufactured in France by Dickson, the world leader in outdoor fabrics and the best quality for parasol canopies.

🔄 How to change the canopy of our parasols ?

Do you want to change your Belveo parasol canopy? Here we go!

1. To change the canopy of your Belveo parasol, simply open the zips on each fibreglass rib and take out the ribs by bending them slightly.

2. Once each fibreglass rib is out of its zip, you only have to unscrew the "cap" at the top of the parasol in order to remove the canopy, by passing it through the top.

3. Finally, you can put the new canopy on your parasol, close the zip on each fibreglass rib, and screw on the cap.

And that's it!

☀️ Do parasol canopies fade ?

BELVEO fabrics are fade resistant!

"Choosing Belveo means choosing quality", that's true!

Customer satisfaction is at the heart of our business and we are committed to offering quality products that last.

💁🏻 We explain it all!

We had some problems with fading last year on our polyester canopies. Polyester is however the most used and "classic" fabric, for a large majority of relatively affordable parasols. We are aware that polyester can fade, especially when exposed to moonlight.

In order to avoid this problem as much as possible, this year :

1. We have reinforced our quality controls on the fading of the canopies in order to be sure that the anti-fading treatment was constantly and correctly applied (on the whole canvas).

2. We have increased our resistance from 4 to 6 on the fabrics! This is higher than the average of other parasols on the market as resistance 4 is the most common treatment used!

3. We have also developed new solution-dyed acrylic canopies this year. These are Made In France, and are solution dyed, which means that the colours are actually impregnated into the fabric and will stay vibrant for a long time!

✏️ What we recommend to keep your canopy and parasol as long as possible, to avoid fading or simply to prevent your canvas from getting dirty:

1. Use a protective cover. This will greatly reduce the impact of time on your parasol and especially on its canopy! It is essential to protect your canvas from dust, rain, etc.

2. Clean the parasol canopy, you can refer to the label sewn on the inside.

3.  Clean the parasol pole and remove any stains or mildew. Use a mixture of warm water and mild detergent.

Dry with a clean cloth.

4. Never use solvents, scouring agents, abrasives, bleach, acids, strong detergents, harsh chemical detergents or solvent-based detergents on the parasol.

5. Do not use a high-pressure cleaner on the parasol.

6. At the end of the season: In winter or in case of prolonged bad weather, it is recommended to store this parasol in a garage or a dry room, ideally protected by a protective cover. Always clean and dry the product before storing it.

🧽 How to take care of my Belveo acrylic parasol ?

One of the best ways to preserve the appearance of the Sunbrella Made in France fabrics used on our BELVEO Premium parasols is to brush away dirt before it becomes embedded in the fabric. The quicker stains can be cleaned, the easier they can be removed.

Do you have a stain on the fabric of your BELVEO Premium parasol? Don't worry! Here we go!

1. For hand washing:

Soak the Premium Sunbrella canopy of your BELVEO parasol with 1.5 cl of mild soap per litre of warm water. Use a sponge or a very soft brush to gently brush the stain. Then rinse thoroughly to remove any soap residue and air dry the fabric.

2. For machine washing :

To wash the Premium Sunbrella canopy of your BELVEO parasol in the washing machine, first close all the zips on your canopy. Wash your canopy in cold water on a gentle cycle with a normal amount of mild detergent and then air dry.

💡 Good to know: the Sunbrella fabrics used for our BELVEO Premium acrylic parasol canopies are treated with a patented waterproof, stain-resistant coating designed to last for years.

🔇 My parasol is squeaking, what can I do?

It is possible that your parasol pole may be a little squeaky. Here are our tips.

You can oil the base of the parasol. This will reduce the squeaking considerably. We advise you to repeat this operation regularly in order to preserve its effect. You can use WD40 or equivalent for this.

Belveo patent

📜 Why the patented Belveo system ?

The patented BELVEO® system enables the parasols to withstand strong winds by considerably reducing their wind grip.

In contrast to traditional parasols, BELVEO® parasols are equipped with two sets of ribs:

1. Static ribs, allowing the parasol to maintain its shape

2. Dynamic ribs, made of fibreglass, to adjust the wind resistance of the fabric. These flexible ribs are integrated directly into the parasol's canopy, allowing it to rise in the case of wind gusts.

All BELVEO® parasols are equipped with an innovative patented system that is unique in the world and provides significantly greater wind resistance than traditional parasols.

💨 How does the BELVEO patent address your wind issues ?

1. Upward wind: wind carrying air from the bottom to the top

The impact on traditional parasols : the parasol flies away, the canopy tears, the parasol ribs twist and break (like on an umbrella)...

BELVEO®'s solution: thanks to the flexible fibreglass ribs integrated into the canopy (patented system), the parasol can adapt its grip to the wind in real time and without human intervention: the canopy becomes a torch above the structure, and the parasol does not fly away!

2. Flapping wind: wind transporting air from the top to the bottom

The impact on traditional parasols: the parasol ribs break, the pole bends, the canopy tears...

BELVEO®'s answer: All our parasols are equipped with reinforced ribs and poles. The ribs do not break, the poles do not bend.

Please note:

BELVEO® parasols are designed to withstand strong winds and are much stronger than most parasols on the market, but unfortunately they are not unbreakable. It is up to you to remain vigilant if the parasol does not behave as expected, for example in a very irregular wind.
