Materials
We have three fabric options for your parasol, all of which are water-resistant and UV-resistant:
Our 100% recycled polyester canopy is the most accessible option. With its glossy finish, it is treated to minimize fading. However, some fading may occur after a few months with heavy use. This is the ideal choice for accessing Belveo's wind-resistant technology at a lower cost.
Our olefin canopy, with its matte finish and soft touch, offers the best value for money. Its fibres are dyed throughout to ensure optimal colour durability. It is also stain-resistant, mould-resistant, and made in Spain.
Our acrylic canopy, with a premium aesthetic finish, is our top-of-the-line option. Designed to preserve the vibrancy of its colours, it is suited for professional use. This micro-perforated fabric provides a refreshing sensation under the parasol, even on the hottest days. It is also stain-resistant, mould-resistant, and made in Spain.
Warranties and maintenance
All our canopies are covered by a 2-year warranty against fading and manufacturing defects. The olefin and acrylic canopies come with an extended warranty: 5 years for olefin and 10 years for acrylic against fading.
To keep your canopy in good condition, here are some care tips:
Care Advice:
Clean stains as soon as they appear to prevent them from setting. For delicate cleaning, hand wash: soak the canopy in lukewarm water mixed with 150ml of mild soap per litre, gently scrub with a sponge or soft brush, then rinse thoroughly and let dry naturally. For more stubborn stains (except polyester canopies), you can use a diluted bleach solution: mix 1 litre of water, 150ml of mild soap, and 5cl of bleach in a spray bottle, apply it to the entire canopy, leave it for 10 minutes, clean with a sponge, and rinse well. Alternatively, you can machine wash: remove the canopy, zip it up, and wash at 30°C on a delicate cycle with your usual detergent. In case of mildew, add 5cl of bleach (except polyester) and start the machine immediately to dilute the product. Once clean, always let the canopy dry naturally. Lastly, make sure never to store or close your parasol while the canopy is still damp to avoid mildew, and keep it away from reflective surfaces or heat sources that may damage it. With these simple steps, your canopy will stay clean and in perfect condition, season after season.
Winter Care:
Store the parasol in a dry, sheltered place. Protective covers are available for purchase on our website.

Swap your canopy
and give your parasol
a new lease of life
At Belveo, we think about sustainability from the design stage. Rather than replacing your entire parasol, we offer you the easy option of swapping out the canopy. Whether it’s due to a stain, an accident, or just for a change, you can easily change your canopy. It’s a great chance to try a new colour or upgrade to a higher-quality fabric, tailored to your needs.

Polyester: the most accessible choice
The polyester canopy is a great option for an initial investment. Lightweight and affordable, it allows you to enjoy our patented innovation at a competitive price. Ideal for moderate use, it stands out with its bright and luminous finish. Although it may fade more quickly in direct sunlight, it remains an excellent entry point into the Belveo world, providing an aesthetically pleasing parasol that’s easy to handle and adaptable to the wind. Plus, thanks to our interchangeable canopies, you can upgrade to a more premium option like olefin or acrylic when your needs change.
Olefin: elegance and durability
The olefin canopy offers the perfect balance of softness and durability, making it an excellent choice for outdoor use. Solution-dyed to maintain rich, vibrant colours, it comes with a 5-year fade resistance warranty, ensuring it stays looking fresh for years.
With its matte finish and luxurious texture, olefin has the aesthetic appeal of an indoor fabric while delivering the resilience needed for outdoor conditions. It enhances the look of your parasol, adding a premium touch to your space. Water-repellent and quick-drying, this canopy effortlessly repels rain and splashes, making it ideal for poolside settings. It’s also low-maintenance—simply clean with soapy water or machine wash at 30°C to keep it in pristine condition.

Acrylic:
the premium choice
Designed to withstand the most demanding conditions, the acrylic canopy is instantly recognisable for its superior quality. Crafted using a solution-dyeing process, the pigments are infused deep into the fibres while still in liquid form, resulting in a richly coloured fabric that offers exceptional resistance to UV rays, stains, and harsh weather—far beyond traditional surface-dyed fabrics.
The result? Brilliant, long-lasting colours that retain their vibrancy year after year. We’re so confident in its durability that it comes with a 10-year fade resistance warranty.
Once reserved for professional-grade parasols, we’ve now made high-performance acrylic canopies accessible to even the most discerning home users—the ideal choice for those seeking unmatched longevity, elegance, and weather resistance.

What’s the difference between polyester, olefin, and acrylic canopies?
We offer three types of canopies to suit your needs:
- Polyester canopy: Ideal for a first purchase, it offers excellent value for money. It has a light and glossy finish, but may fade more quickly with heavy use or prolonged sun exposure. It’s an affordable option to experience our patented innovation.
- Olefin canopy: Our best balance of aesthetics, durability, and price. The colour is integrated into the fibres, ensuring it stays vibrant for years and resists fading (5-year warranty). With a matte finish and soft touch, it resembles indoor fabrics while providing the durability needed for outdoor use. Water-resistant, it quickly sheds moisture, dries instantly after a shower, and resists splashes from poolside days. Easy to clean, it can be washed with soapy water or machine washed at 30°C.
- Acrylic canopy: The premium choice, offering exceptional performance in the toughest conditions. Through a mass-dyeing process, the colour pigments are integrated directly into the acrylic fibre while still liquid, creating a deeply coloured thread. This results in vibrant colours that resist UV rays and the elements far better than standard surface-dyed fabrics. We are so confident in the quality of this canopy that it comes with a 10-year fading warranty. It strikes the perfect balance between performance and elegance, ideal for long-term, intensive, or professional use.
Additionally, all our canopies are interchangeable: whether you want to change the colour or replace a worn-out canopy, the process is simple and quick to extend the life of your parasol.
Which canopies are compatible with my parasol?
All canopies available on our website are compatible with Belveo or Easywind parasols with 8 ribs. To find the right canopy, identify the size and type (centre-pole or cantilever) of your current parasol. Find the corresponding canopy; for example, if you have a 3x3m centre-pole parasol, select the 3x3m centre-pole canopy.
Check the year of your parasol: Canopies from 2022 and earlier are compatible with parasols from 2022 or before. Canopies from 2023 onwards are compatible with 2023, 2024, and 2025 parasols. Can't find the right match? Contact us at contact@belveo.com!
Not sure about your canopy size?
For a round parasol: Measure the canopy of your parasol by placing your tape measure at the top cap of your parasol. Measure the distance from the top of your parasol to the tip of one of your fiberglass ribs. This will give you an approximate size of the canopy compatible with your parasol.
For a square or rectangular parasol: Measure the canopy of your parasol by placing your tape measure at the end of one side of your canopy. Measure the distance from one end to the other of your parasol. Then, do the same for an adjacent side.
Does your parasol have 6 ribs, and you can't find the right canopy? Some older models are no longer in production, but we may still have compatible replacement canopies in stock that are not listed online. Email us at contact@belveo.com, and we’ll be happy to assist you!
How do I replace my parasol canopy?
Replacing your parasol canopy takes only 5 to 10 minutes. If two people are available, it’s even quicker, but don’t worry—it’s perfectly doable alone. A step ladder will be needed to reach the top of the parasol.
Here’s how to do it:
1\. Open the zips on each fibreglass rib and gently bend them to remove the canopy.
2\. Unscrew the top cap at the top of the parasol to release the canopy, then slide it off.
3\. Position the new canopy, close the zips on each rib.
4\. Screw the top cap back on, and that’s it—your parasol is ready for more time outdoors!
How do I clean my parasol canopy?
Clean stains as soon as they appear to prevent them from setting. For gentle maintenance, hand-wash your canopy by soaking it in lukewarm water with 150ml of mild soap per litre. Gently scrub with a sponge or soft brush, rinse thoroughly, and air dry. For tougher stains (excluding polyester canopies), a diluted bleach solution can be used: Mix 1 litre of water, 150ml of mild soap, and 50ml of bleach in a spray bottle. Apply to the entire canopy, let it sit for 10 minutes, scrub with a sponge, and rinse thoroughly.
If preferred, you can machine wash the canopy: Remove it from the parasol, close all zips, and wash at 30°C on a delicate cycle with your usual detergent. For mildew stains (excluding polyester canopies), add 50ml of bleach and start the machine immediately to dilute the solution properly. Once clean, always air dry your canopy.
To maintain your canopy in the best condition, never store or close your parasol while the canopy is damp, as this can lead to mildew. Keep it away from reflective surfaces or heat sources that could damage the fabric. With these simple steps, your canopy will stay clean and in top condition season after season.
